you know, those drinks you keep ordering all the time. here are my current 5, in no particular order.
maker's mark, rocks - my fallback drink when the bartender makes eye contact with me and i haven't decided what to drink yet. semi-respectable, yet affordable...
saph and tonic - this is when i'm feeling like a bitch and i want to booze like one. esp good when clubbing in los angeles.
hoegaarden - this reminds me of the yada yada yada story on seinfeld. i went on a date with this guy and he introduced me to hoegaarden. then yada yada yada, i never spoke to him again. (wait, you yada'ed over the best part!) no i mentioned the hoegaarden.
knob creek, neat - when i have money. which is to say, never. but in my fading memory, it was damn tasty.
sterling cab - a great, almost amazing cheap red wine. you can get it for under $15 at the store and for the price, will blow you away. i like it better than a lot of reds 3x the price.

Currently, Beefeater martinis and Finlandia vwodka (sic) are resting comfortably in my liver.

Tue, May 23, 2006 - 3:24 PMHoegaarden (pronounced who-garden) is a witbeir aka white beer or wheat beer made at the Hoegaarden Brewery in Belgium. The beer was almost unknown in the US until a couple of years ago. It is becoming more and more popular in bars and pubs and is now available in six-pack bottles at Beverages & More and a few liquor stores here and there.
I have to say, this is one of my most favorite beers. Unlike most american wheat beers, it has flavors of wheat malt with strong flavors of coriander and citrus (orange peel). Extremely tasty and refreshing brew!! 5%ABV.
Gah.... only five drinks?? LOL *slurp*
